Several year ago I packed my bags to head to the NYSC orientation camp in Abuja. Little did I know that there I would meet my future husband! I was being punished for not dressing properly for the afternoon parade and he was also sported for an offence. A corper beside me started toasting me, along the line we had an argument; while on it, I heard this soft gentle voice correcting him politely. I was intrigued and looked up to see who he was, He was tall, dark, and handsome. Days passed and we got talking and found out we had a lot in common.
We both had just ended a long relationship, mine was 4 years while his was 7 years. We became really good friends and gradually our love for each other blossomed as the days went by.
how he asked
It was two years after NYSC, he setup a dinner date. On that day, work at the office was crazy, a colleague needed me to cover up for him which i almost accepted but remembering we had a date i had to turn it down.
On arriving at 355steakhouse and lounge, i saw my brother i was so surprised because i didn’t know he was coming into town (didn’t know my husband flew him in just for this occasion). Amidst family and friends he proposed. That day couldn’t have been anymore perfect!
