HOW THEY MET
Before he went for his MSc in 2013, he met the love of his life on a casual night out in Lagos, while she was on holiday from her studies in UK. It seems the stars were aligning at a spot, they carried on dating even after both headed back to England.
The relationship was 3 years old before he proposed. He proposed at Stone Mountain Georgia, on the 28th of July, 2016 at 10:30 pm eastern standard time.
The duo was on summer vacation in the US, and decided to go see his brother in Atlanta.
“Every thing was alright and normal, i didn’t suspect anything at all, i just noticed he was always going out with his elder brother and coming back so excited and happy. The day before the proposal, he took me shopping, got me a few dresses and other stuffs but i still didn’t suspect he was up to something because he takes me shopping when ever we go on vacations. He told me we were going for a dinner party at his family house in Stone Mountain Georgia, the next day 28th of July, 2016 the exact day he proposed. I was excited.
I woke up that faithful day, prepared for the dinner party. He went with me to MAC Studio at Lenox Square where i got my makeup and hair done. After that we headed for the dinner party with his elder brother and wife. On our way to the party, he stopped at Peach Tree Dekalb Airport and was like “babe let’s go on a helicopter ride” I still didn’t suspect he was going to propose because he can be very spontaneous. I got on the helicopter with him and we flew around Atlanta and was chauffeured to the dinner party.
I was chilling and gisting with his sisters when all of a sudden, he took my hand and walked me down to the pool side which was already decorated and lit with over 100 candles. He started telling me how much he loves me and want to spend the rest of his life with me, he kept talking but i wasn’t listening. He got on one knee and immediately after he proposed, his parents, siblings, uncles, aunties, cousins, nieces and nephews popped out from no where and started clapping and laughing. It was like a family reunion… Continues
The most surprising part was when my mum jumped out from no where too and hugged me. We have been talking through out the day and she told me she was going for a business trip in Pittsburgh, whereas, she had been planning the proposal with my hubby behind my back. We all had a family party and the rest was history. I was so surprise he had been planning every thing right under my nose and I didn’t even notice at all”___Chisome.
